Jenn,
Love the colors and the swishing hair. I am wondering if you were meaning to have her hair blurred or if that just happened? I have noticed that often your shutter speed is quite slow and that will cause camera shake. I just posted more info on camera shake. Now if you are trying to get motion, generally you do slow your shutter speed down as you did in this shot. To avoid camera shake in the future a general rule is to have your shutter speed at 125 but you also need to generally have it faster than your focal length. Ex. if your focal length is 160, your shutter speed needs to be at least that fast. I would also crop this image in a bit to focus more on the hair. Love your eye Jenn! You are very creative and I love the way you see things!
Hey Addie,
I know, I wasn’t thrilled with how this photo came out…I was playing with motion and color, but overall the effect was too much…I think cropping it is a great idea! I played with it so much, I lost my perspective! But, she had the most beautiful hair!! I loved playing with the colors and movement and her spirit!
Thank you so much for your comments and for the info on shutter speed and shake! So helpful!
